Sudhir Choudhrie is a successful entrepreneur, business leader, and philanthropist. He is an Indian native and had a severe medical condition from a tender age. Sudhir Choudhrie graduated from the University of Delhi with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He joined his grandfather’s commercial property business before establishing his own company. In 1975, Sudhir established Magnum International Trading Company and partnered with Taj Hotels and Resorts and Adidas AG in 1995. He established four successful resorts in India and founded Adidas Indian Trading, bringing multiple Adidas manufacturing plants and stores in India.
Driving Force from a Setback
At the age of eight, Sudhir Choudhrie was diagnosed with a leaking valve in the heart that would cause multiple complications. Sudhir suffered a series of infections, and at the age of fifty, he suffered heart failure. He was rushed to the hospital for an emergency heart transplant that saved his life. He is one of the longest surviving transplant patients globally and uses that to help and inspire others. Sudhir’s wife acknowledged that her husband desired to be inspirational to others if he got a second chance in life, and after he got a heart transplant, that’s what he did. From 1999 to 2005, Sudhir was the director of Ebookers PLC. He financed the first Indian budget airline, Air Deccan, the sole airplane and has grown into one of India’s largest operating airplane companies with over 200 flights daily. Sudhir Choudhrie’s inspirational mind has helped him nurture and grow several businesses from scratch through his supportive consulting services.
