Comedic Man of Influence


Andrew Alexander, a comedic entrepreneur and well known producer that has been on the rise for years. Born in London, England and now residing in Chicago, Illinois. Andrew Alexander studied at Tri-State College in Indiana and Ryerson University in Toronto. He is known for SCTV Network (1981), I, Martin Short, Goes Home (2012) and The Second City Project (2015).

This man is a positive influence in the comedy community and has received much praise for his hard work. He has received the Canadian Comedy Awards Chairman’s Award, Gilda’s magic Award from Gilda’s Club, League of Chicago Theater’s 2009 Artistic leadership award and Chicago Tribune’s 2009 Chicagoan of the Year.

Through Alexander’s work with Second City it has led to many open doors. With three locations Chicago, Toronto and Hollywood he has made many smile. He has produced many revenues through the Second City which set out positive impacts on many actors lives. He announced the opening of The Harold Ramis Film School in Chicago in 2016. When a Black Lives Matter movement started to arise in 2020 Andrew Alexander stepped down from his exectuive producer position and was immediately replaced by Anthony LeBlanc. The Second City was but up for sale in October 2020.
